COVID-19 Death Tally Goes Up To Nine In Bihar

The 75 year older woman Sunaina Devi Resident Hainipur was suffering from severe lung cancer she admitted to the hospital on 16 May in critical condition. Corona positive 75 year old woman admitted to NMCH succumbed during treatment yesterday.

A 56-year-old woman from the area of patna Alamganj tested positive on sunday 10 May. she was admitted at NMCH on friday 8 May. She was also ailing from carcinoma of the gallbladder, obstructive jaundice, acute renal failure, sepsis and multi organ failure. State Principal Health Secretary Sanjay Kumar tweeted: “7th death of COVID-19 positive patient at NMCH, 56 years old female from Patna”, with details of her medical history and admission at the hospital. “She has no travel history or contact history but tested COVID-19 positive on Sunday 10 May”, he said. The previous six COVID-19 patients who had died in the State from Patna,Vaishali, Munger, Sasaram, Sitamarhi and East Champaran districts. On Tuesday, Bihar had reported the highest number of 130 COVID-19 positive cases in a single day. Now, all 38 districts of Bihar have been affected by the pandemic.


On Wednesday 6 May, 29 positive cases were reported from Rohtas, Buxar, Nawada,Gopalganj,Begusarai, Khagaria and Bhagalpur districts had reported the total number of 908 COVID-19 positive cases in the State. As many as 390 people have recovered so far, while 483 cases are active. From 4 May, a total of 374 people were found to have been infected, out of which 355 are migrants.
