Coronavirus treatment: Patanjali to share the outcome of a clinical trial of its COVID-19 drug, claims ‘major breakthrough’
Baba Ramdev’s consumer goods and herbal medicine company Patanjali Ayurved claims to have discovered the cure for coronavirus. Patanjali co-founder Acharya Balkrishna said, “We conducted a clinical case study on many positive patients and we’ve got 100% favorable results.
After taking our medication, COVID patients recovered in 5-14 days then tested negative. So, we can say the cure for COVID is possible through Ayurveda. We’re performing controlled clinical trials only. In the next 4-5 days, evidence & data will be released by us.”
Patanjali will launch the Ayurvedic medicine for treating Covid-19.
The Patanjali CEO also asked people to practice Yoga, and keep oneself healthy through proper diet to boost the immune system.
Patanjali will launch the Ayurvedic medicine for treating coronavirus at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar. Acharya Balkrishna, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Patanjali informed about the same in a tweet on Monday.
The research was jointly conducted by the Patanjali Research Institute, Haridwar, and the National Institute of Medical Science, Jaipur.
Co-founder Baba Ramdev and Managing Director Acharya Balkrishna will address the media at 12 noon on June 23 (tomorrow), to share “the major breakthrough in cure of COVID-19,” the company said. The team of scientists, researchers, and doctors involved in the trials will also be present at the video conference.
Medicines from the research are being manufactured by Divya Pharmacy, Haridwar, and Patanjali Ayurved, Haridwar, it added.
With an increase of more than 14,821 new cases and more than 445 deaths, India’s COVID-19 crossed more than 4.25 lakh yet. The country has reported more than 4,25,282 cases and 13,699 persons have died.
The Health Ministry said that 9,440 patients have been cured in the last 24 hours and the country’s recovery date has gone up to 55.77 percent.
