New Guidelines for JEE & NEET Exams 2020 issued by NTA ( National Testing Agency )Exams of JEE, NEET to be conducted in the month of SeptemberNTA issued several guidelines for examination, all the students have to self declare their health status and have not been in contact with any COVID patient.
Compulsory to wearing masks, gloves, but also can carry a hand sanitizer and a water bottleHowever, students are not mandatory to wear masks and gloves while writing the examStudents Admit Cards have detail instructions on social distancing.
Also, students have to clear a thermal scan to gain access to enter the exam hallHowever, if the body temperature is above 99.4 degrees Fahrenheit then the students will give an exam in isolation room which will be there in every exam center
Guidelines don’t clarify that students from containment zones would be allowed to write exams as they may be asymptomatic but would have come into contact with COVID+Ve person.
JEE ( Mains )Exam will be conducted for more than 8.6lakhs students between 1st to 6th September and NEET will be conducted across the urban centers for around 15 Lakh students.
NTA also said that 99% of students will be given their choice of the centerAlso, centers for JEE increased from 570 to 660For NEET from 2846 to 3843.
Some students disagree with SCs decisionStudents are still in the hope to postpone JEE & NEET examinationAs there is a lot of difficulty in giving exams in this pandemicAnd there are a lot of chances to get in contact with any covid+ve person, which can affect everyone.
