Who is your real hero in life? Who is your idol growing up? Who do you look up to for advice? Fathers are the real heroes in our lives growing up. We always look up to them for guidance, support, values and also fun.
They keep pampering everyone all around the year without expecting any or much attention for themselves. Let’s take out some time today to celebrate them on this auspicious occasion of Father’s Day as they also deserve their share of pampering. We wish all the fathers around the world a very Happy Father’s Day!
HISTORY : –
The day was founded in USA ,where it is celebrated on the third sunday of June, at the Spokane, Washington YMCA in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd. That year Father’s day was celebrated on June 19,1910.
Sonora heard about Anna Jarvis has founded Mother’s day in honour of her mother and told the pastor of her church that their should be something similar to celebrate fathers too. Sonora’s father was Civil War Veteran, William Jackson Smart, a single parent from Arkansas who raised six childrens.
Sonora was hoping that Father’s Day celebrations would be held on June 5, which was her father’s birthday, but the church time constraints ended up pusing this day and the celebration was deffered to the third sunday of June.
Father’s Day isn’t just a day for dads to get more ties. It’s celebrated on the third Sunday of June to honor dads, grandfathers, step-dads and all men who act as a father figure.
